Nikki Busch is a seasoned editor with extensive experience working with self-published authors and small publishing houses in multiple genres: romance, YA/NA, fantasy, horror, science fiction, LGBT (especially lesbian fiction), suspense, action/adventure, erotica, poetry, and self-help. She also edits and writes book blurbs. Her significant copywriting experience brings an added level of marketing skill to every blurb she works on.

Nikki has edited 150+ books. Many of them have become best sellers in their categories; several are award winners or finalists. Her services include line editing, copyediting, developmental editing, structural editing, substantive editing, content editing, manuscript critiques, proofreading, creative brainstorming, and book blurb writing and editing.

She received her BA in English from Rutgers University and was awarded a graduate-level certificate in copyediting from the University of California-San Diego with an A average. She has also completed advanced coursework in developmental editing through the Author-Editor Clinic and Editorial Freelancers Association and in fiction writing through Gotham Writers’ Workshop. In addition to co-founding the Association of Independent Publishing Professionals (AIPP), Nikki is a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association and the Golden Crown Literary Society and a vetted partner member of the Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi).

Throughout Nikki's thirty-year career, she has held jobs in journalism, advertising, book marketing, and publishing. Born and raised in an apartment building in the Bronx, Nikki currently lives in northwestern New Jersey and is still getting used to living among cows, farms, and turkey vultures.
